Main features of our Program Areas:

Through volunteers, GAIYA National Volunteer Program works in three development areas: HIV and AIDS, Secure livelihoods and Gender

  1. National volunteering program:

    • Recruitment of volunteer’s from all sectors
    • Training of volunteers in a volunteers training course to prepare them to work with the local communities
    • Deploying volunteers to work with our partner organisations who request for them
    • Community awareness about national volunteering
    • Utilising volunteers in GAIYA programmatic activities of HIV and AIDs Secure Livelihood and Gender
  2. HIV and AIDS

    • Home based care, for support groups of people PLWHAs at Fantsuam Foundation
    • Facilitation and supportive counselling for support groups of PLWHAs
    • Counselling for HIV and AIDs at the Fantsuam Foundation Maternal clinic
    • Community sensitisation on HIV and AIDs
    • Management of orphans and vulnerable children program
  3. Gendering

    • Gender mainstreaming in HIV and AIDS programs.
    • Community sensitisation on gender in community development.
    • Gender advocacy at community, local administrative and national levels.
